Starting with networking and then moving through the various levels of IT as a system administrator, report writer and database administrator coding came into play when I had to do all of those postions at the same time. VBScript and batch files turned into powershell and sql cmd.
After 5 years I transferred all my Windows knowledge over to Linux and started to code in HTML, CSS, PHP and bash files. This provides several ways to accomplish the end goal for clients.
